What to Bring

Fishing License
You will need a valid license for the location and type of fish. You can pick up fishing licenses at many tackle store locations in Oregon and Washington. In Oregon, you can also purchase a license online with their MyODFW App on your smartphone. If you are going to order via mail, please make sure it will arrive in time to go fishing.

What to Wear
Dress for the weather. I know everyone says this. I always tell people to dress the way they think they need to for the weather then add another layer. It is often colder on the water. Mornings can be very cold, then it warms up quickly. You can always peel layers off. If there is even a chance of rain, bring rain coat and pants. Waterproof boots are always a plus!

When the weather gets warmer, don't forget sunscreen. You will burn faster on the water than you would expect.

Food and Drinks
Bring your favorite drinks and snacks. I have never been able to figure out why fishing make you hungry but it does.
